Punished Brains
#

This, somewhat edgy, name came about by looking at my overall career in science and now software development. From a young age I’ve always been thinking about the why and how of pretty much anything interesting and this hasn’t stopped growing up. The ‘punishing’ aspect refers to the mild headaches caused by diving into topics and trying to truly understand them. Although it may sound negative at first, I loved the feeling of learning something new as I’m sure many of you can relate to.

My background
#

It made total sense then to go for a career in science, which I did for about 18 years. I ended up specializing in proteomics and helping with fundamental research on the process of cell division and cancer.

However, like I mentioned, my interest is very broad and one day I decided to buy a telescope. My love for science extended to astronomy as well and after having picked up the hobby of astrophotography, I became hooked on technology and software development. I decided to switch careers and start my own company.
